Real reports. Real anglers. Real Utah fishing.
RMA members aren't on Deer Creek every weekend, but when we're on the water, we share what we learn—what worked, what didn't, and what the fish were doing.

RMA Member Report
Fishing: Slow
Method: Trolling
Key Depth: Around 30 feet
Best Action: Near the surface
REPORT
Fishing has been slow at Deer Creek, according to an RMA member report.
There were a lot of fish marking around 30 feet, but getting them to commit was another story. Multiple different presentations were tried with very little success.
The most productive action came closer to the surface, where a few trout were caught using:
🎯 Pink kokanee rigs
🎯 Small hoochie
🎯 Small dodger
The trout were average in length but noticeably skinny, and unfortunately weren't putting up much of a fight.
🚤 BOAT TRAFFIC
There was plenty of boat traffic on the lake, although interestingly, many of the ski boats appeared to be doing more sunbathing than skiing! 😎☀️
🎯 RMA TAKEAWAY
Lots of fish were showing on the electronics, but they were tough to convince. If you're heading to Deer Creek, be prepared to experiment with presentations—and don't overlook the upper water column.
